BioShield Services Ltd is a specialist Environmental & Odour Remediation contractor providing environmental remediation, biohazard cleaning, odour elimination, waste management and property recovery services across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between BioShield Services Ltd ('we', 'us', 'our') and any client ('you', 'your') who engages our services or uses our website at bioshieldservices.co.uk.
By requesting a quote, engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not engage our services or use our website.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
BioShield Services Ltd provides specialist remediation and cleaning services including, but not limited to:
• Environmental remediation and decontamination • Odour elimination and treatment • Biohazard and trauma scene cleaning • Hoarding clearance and property reset • Licensed waste collection and disposal • Sharps and needle clearance • Void property recovery • Deep cleaning for residential and commercial properties
All services are carried out by trained, qualified operatives in accordance with applicable UK legislation, COSHH regulations and Environment Agency requirements.
All quotes provided by BioShield Services Ltd are based on the information available at the time of assessment. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Final pricing may be subject to variation if the scope of work changes materially from that described at the time of quotation, or if unforeseen circumstances are discovered upon commencement of work. We will notify you of any such variation before proceeding.
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be applied at the prevailing rate where applicable.
A booking is confirmed when you have accepted our written quote and we have confirmed availability in writing. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
Where a deposit is required, this will be specified in the quote. Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the booking.
You are responsible for ensuring that we have safe and lawful access to the property at the agreed time. Failure to provide access may result in a call-out charge.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking, please notify us as soon as possible by telephone or email.
• Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice will not incur a charge. • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price. • Cancellations on the day of the scheduled work may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the quoted price.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings in exceptional circumstances, including severe weather, equipment failure or staff illness. In such cases we will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date.
Payment terms will be specified in your quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
• Residential clients are required to pay in full upon completion of works. • Commercial and trade clients may be offered 30-day payment terms subject to credit approval. • Invoices not paid within the agreed terms may be subject to late payment charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
We accept payment by bank transfer, cheque or such other methods as agreed in advance. We do not accept cash payments above £500.
To enable us to carry out our services safely and effectively, you agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information about the property and the nature of the work required. • Ensure that we have safe, unobstructed access to all areas where work is to be carried out. • Inform us of any known hazards, including asbestos, structural issues, or the presence of animals. • Ensure that any third parties (including other contractors) are not present in the work area during our operations unless agreed in advance. • Comply with any reasonable instructions given by our operatives on site.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in additional charges or suspension of works.
BioShield Services Ltd holds an EA - Upper Tier Waste Carriers Licence (No. CBDU637363) and is authorised to collect, transport and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.
Where waste removal forms part of our service, we will provide appropriate waste transfer documentation. You are responsible for ensuring that any waste generated at your property has been lawfully produced and that you have the authority to arrange its removal.
We will not knowingly collect or transport waste that has been illegally deposited or that would require additional permits beyond our existing authorisations.
BioShield Services Ltd carries comprehensive public liability insurance. We will take all reasonable care in carrying out our services and will be liable for any damage caused directly by our negligence.
We will not be liable for:
• Pre-existing damage or defects at the property. • Damage caused by conditions that were not disclosed to us prior to commencement of works. • Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or business interruption. • Any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with your responsibilities under these terms.
Our total liability to you in connection with any single claim shall not exceed the value of the contract for the works in question.
BioShield Services Ltd understands that many of our clients require discretion. We treat all project information, including the nature of the work, the property address and the identity of the client, as strictly confidential.
We will not disclose any information about your project to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or regulation, or where necessary to carry out the contracted works (for example, engaging a licensed waste disposal facility).
All content on the BioShield Services Ltd website, including text, images, logos and design, is the property of BioShield Services Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content from our website without our prior written consent.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
